Benefits And Uses For Organic Germanium:

Where do we start!  Germanium is an element used to manufacture semiconductors.  Once a safe form was synthesized ("organic" Germanium, Ge-132, bis-beta carboxyethyl germanium sesquioxide), it was tested (mostly in Japan) for a number of health conditions.  It seems to normalize body functions (blood pressure, cholesterol, calcium, triglycerides, etc.).  Foreign testing shows Germanium may be helpful to ease pain, stimulate the immune system and improve oxygen processing in cells.  Organic Germanium is showing promise in tests for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, AIDS, viral and bacterial infection, cancer, yeast infection and rheumatoid arthritis.  Organic Germanium seems to be very beneficial.     

Note:  Beating infections:  In the past, I've had problems with sinus, lung, and other much so, that I've become allergic to penicillin.  In 1994, on my third relapse of pneumonia, even the strongest antibiotics had become ineffective.  I was desperate enough to try something the doctor didn't offer...Organic Germanium.  After 10 days, taking 150mg of Germanium, 3 times a day (with meals), the pneumonia was gone.  I've had many infections in the 12 years since, but have never needed the doctor or antibiotics to treat them. 

Also, over that same 12 years, taking 100mg of Germanium per day, along with Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Zinc, my incidence of cold and flu has been about one day of minor symptoms per year.  Glen

Toxicity (Overdose) Symptoms Of Organic Germanium:

Almost no adverse effects have been documented even with huge doses of 2-5 grams per day.  Large doses have been credited for minor temporary skin irritations or loose bowels.  Other forms (Germanium dioxide and Germanium Lactate-Citrate), when taken in large doses (15-300 grams), are toxic and sometimes fatal.  When buying, make sure you get GE 132 Organic Germanium from a reputable well-known manufacturer. 

Foods High In Organic Germanium:

Many foods, credited for centuries as having curative properties, have been found to have high Germanium content:  ginseng, shitake mushrooms, aloe vera, comfrey, garlic and shelf fungus, as well as a long list of lesser known healing herbs.  All plants have some Germanium.

Supplements Of Organic Germanium:

No daily amount has been established, but 100-150 mg per day may provide a strong support role in the immune system and other areas of the body.  To avoid the dangers of toxicity, make sure to get GE 132 "organic" Germanium from a reputable manufacturer/supplier.
