Well known to be good for bones and teeth, Vitamin D is used to prevent and treat rickets.  It's also important in prevention of osteoporosis and some types of arthritis

Rickets, soft fragile bones, bowed legs, deformed bones and joints.

Toxicity (Overdose) Symptoms Of Vitamin D:

Can be serious if taken in excess...excessive bone calcification, kidney stones, headaches, weakness, nausea, vomiting, constipation.

Foods High In Vitamin D:

Fish liver oils, egg yolks, ocean fish, shrimp, enriched milk.

Supplements Of Vitamin D:

Most natural multi-vitamin supplements contain recommended amount of 400 IU.  We don't recommend people supplement any more than that unless under the direction of their doctor.
