Benefits And Uses For Belladonna:

Belladonna has been used for hundreds of years, for inflammation, motion sickness, headache, PMS, stomach ulcers.  Other uses include breathing relief, ear infection, IBS, radiation rash.  There have been few scientific studies of the success at treating these conditions, but it's hard to argue with hundreds of years of folk use.    

Deficiency/Toxicity Symptoms Of Belladonna:

No deficiency information.  Side effects include confusion, constipation, water weight, delirium and dry mouth.  Be very careful not to exceed dosing recommendations. 

Supplements Of Belladonna:

Belladonna leaf powder is usually used by adults, taking 50-100mg by mouth, not to exceed 600 mg per day.  Be very careful of your source and what you buy, because extracts can be much more powerful and some belladonna supplements are diluted as much as 100 to 1.  Do not operate heavy or hazardous equipment while taking belladonna.  This is an herb you should consider getting licensed, professional advice before using.
