I have to say, 15 years ago I never thought I would see a mainstream nutrition book state the findings contained in this chapter. Well, I never thought my doctor would prescribe a vitamin, either. This exciting chapter highlights some of the amazing discoveries being made on the use of foods in place of medicine for major medical conditions. Who knows, maybe next the doctors will tell us that vitamin C wards off colds...it could happen!
